We are committed to making sure that everyone has access to our website and its content. Our aim is to ensure that everyone is able to read the details contained both on our standard desktop version as well as making content available in mobile form.
The site is designed to help accessibility by following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as part of their Web Accessibility Initiative.
This site fully utilises CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to separate content from presentation, reducing file sizes and increasing download speeds. Most images have been regulated to the CSS document and where possible text alternatives for graphical content have been provided. Quick load options are available to mobile handset users.
Where colours are used, we have tried to ensure maximum contrast between foreground and background items, according to the W3C’s suggested formula. We are aware some users need to use their own text and background colour settings.
We have added buttons at the top right of the page to assist you in increasing or decreasing the size of the text used, as well as providing functionality to expand the width of the site for more modern monitors whilst allowing a width decrease for older low resolution monitors. Note that decreasing the width will interfere with certain formatting.
If you are experiencing problems with colour contrast, resolutions or are having browser or other accessibility problems, please contact the webmaster at Zincweb Internet on 01779 473549.
