Peterhead Projects have recently recruited Andy Devine as Community Woodland Project Officer. >>

Andy, a former member of the RAF Regiment completed his service at RAF Buchan in 2003 and graduated with a BSc (honours) in Sustainable Environmental Management from SAC Aberdeen in 2010.  He has been involved in community learning in Westhill and Banff and has experience in outdoor learning and the John Muir Award, a conservation scheme for young people and adults.

Andy comes into the post to secure funding which will allow Peterhead Projects to develop the woodland, following a ‘Planning for Real’ community consultation, so this valuable resource can be enjoyed by the whole community. He will also be looking to establish a core of volunteers who would be willing to work on the site or supervise youth groups or socially excluded people to develop outdoors skills such as path building and habitat management.
